Energy Consumption

As part of its sustainability efforts to improve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, Woosung Powertec plans to introduce solar power facilities at its sites in stages by 2030. By reducing reliance on fossil-fuel-based electricity and increasing the share of renewable energy, the company aims to support climate action and carbon-neutrality goals. This transition will strengthen our environmental management system, improve energy self-sufficiency, and deliver long-term cost savings.

Water Withdrawal

Wastewater Discharge

All wastewater generated at Woosung Powertec sites is entrusted to Wooju & B-Tech, a specialist wastewater treatment company. We therefore do not operate an in-house wastewater treatment facility or discharge wastewater directly. Separate discharge measurements are not conducted, while all outsourced treatment records are strictly managed in accordance with applicable laws. We will continue to comply with environmental regulations and work with qualified specialists to ensure proper wastewater treatment.

Water Resource Management KPIs

Woosung Powertec Water Management Goals and KPIs

1. Management Purpose

Woosung Powertec aims to use water efficiently and increase reuse in support of sustainable production. We seek to minimize environmental impact through water conservation, pollution prevention, reuse, and stronger metering systems.

2. Baseline Data

Water management data is based on customer billing records covering monthly use and payments from 2022 to 2025. The records show average monthly consumption of 21–23 m³, billed and paid according to metered usage. This data is used to analyze annual consumption trends and set management indicators.

3. Key Water Management Goals

Short Term (through 2025)

  • Introduce process-level water metering and establish a data-driven analysis system
  • Reduce total annual water use by 3%
  • Maintain a 0% water and wastewater leakage rate

Mid- to Long-Term (2026–2030)

  • Achieve a water reuse rate of at least 15%
  • Review systems for collecting and reusing rainwater and wastewater
  • Obtain an external water-efficiency rating, such as water footprint certification

4. KPI Indicators

KPI Item Measurement Method Target
Total Water Use Analysis of annual use (m³) 3% reduction from 2024
Reuse Rate Reused volume as a share of total use At least 15%
Metering Coverage Processes with meters / total processes 100%
Wastewater Discharge Quality Number of legal-limit exceedances Zero cases
Leak Incidents Quarterly leak inspection results Zero cases

5. Future Plans and Monitoring System

- Enhance monthly water-use monitoring and activate immediate analysis and response when abnormalities occur.
- Build a quantitative management system linked to environmental accounting by accumulating process-level water-use data.
- Work with external organizations to obtain certifications and participate in water conservation campaigns.

PM (Dust) Emissions

Pollutant Management KPIs

Woosung Powertec Pollutant Management Goals and KPIs

1. Management Purpose

Woosung Powertec systematically manages pollutants emitted from its sites, including PM, NOx, SOx, and VOCs, to protect air quality, comply with regulations, and prevent environmental damage. Continuous reduction targets are established and managed as KPIs.

2. Baseline Data

PM (particulate matter) emissions data for 2022–2025 are as follows:
- FY2022: 0.309 ton
- FY2023: 0.123 ton
- FY2024: 0.098 ton
- FY2025: 0.097 ton
The figures cover all sites and show a continuing year-over-year improvement trend.

3. Key Pollutant Management Goals

Short Term (through 2025)

  • Continue reducing annual PM emissions by at least 5%
  • Expand measurement coverage for major pollutants, including VOCs
  • Regularly inspect control equipment and establish improvement plans

Mid- to Long-Term (through 2030)

  • Maintain emissions at no more than 50% of permitted limits
  • Expand smart monitoring equipment to all processes
  • Review and apply reduction technologies such as activated-carbon adsorption units and scrubbers

4. KPI Indicators

KPI Item Measurement Method Target
PM Emissions Total annual emissions (tons) 5% annual reduction from the 2024 baseline
VOC Measurement Coverage Share of processes with monitoring equipment 100% by 2026
Pollution-Control Equipment Inspection Rate Quarterly inspections completed / planned 100%
Abnormal Emission Incidents Environmental complaints or reported incidents Zero cases
Emission Rate vs. Permitted Limit Measured value / standard value 50% or less

5. Monitoring and Reporting System

- Emissions are checked daily, with self-measurement conducted once every six months.
- Department-level emissions are monitored in real time through an IoT environmental management system and reported quarterly as required by law.
- Inspection records are used to verify the operating condition of major control facilities and track improvement history.
